Background Check Process
All candidates for staff and faculty employment are required to successfully complete a background check prior to beginning employment. We have contracted with Data Screening, Inc., who performs these services on our behalf.
Staff and Faculty new hires cannot begin until the background check process is complete. The new hire will receive an email that details the required next steps from automation@instascreen.net with the subject line ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ Background Screening QuestionnaireΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½. The questionnaire must be completed in one session and takes about 10 to 20 minutes to complete. To expedite the hiring process, please complete and submit the online form immediately.

New Hire Paperwork
Once the background check process is complete, the new hire will receive an email from noreply@saashr.com with the subject line ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½A New Account has been Created In PACE UNIVERSITY's Employee Self-Service Portal.ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ This message will be sent to the email address that was used in the ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ application and will provide information about activating Pace employee account and details about the required completion of the electronic onboarding checklist. Please be sure to also check your junk mail folder.

Federal Form I-9
As part of the UniversityΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½s employment process, all employees are required to complete a Federal Form I-9 to establish eligibility to work in the United States. This form must be completed and submitted along with documents that prove identity and work authorization. . Those identifying documents must be brought to one of the Human Resources offices listed below before, on or within 3 days your first day of employment.
If the I-9 is not completed within the first three days of employment, you will not be allowed to continue working.

- No new hire will be processed without completing an I-9.
- Delay in the completion of Form I-9 will delay the onboarding process.
