The MEN(tal) Wellness Matters Initiative
Over the past few years, there has been a male enrollment crisis in higher education where enrollment for men has steadily declined. On campus, the effect of this crisis has implications for student attendance at events, leadership positions, the BIPOC community, and more. Intentional outreach to this targeted population can start the conversation of how to better create a sense of inclusion and belonging for students within our campus community. The purpose of the MEN(tal) Wellness Matters Initiative is to increase engagement and create opportunities for male students, faculty, and staff to connect on campus. Through these opportunities we hope to open up dialogue about men's general wellness and provide networking programs that educates, empowers, and builds confidence in men.
