The BFA in Acting combines fundamental and innovative industry-focused training to prepare students for the professional world of theater and film/media acting. Taught by current industry professionals and leaders in the field, our BFA in Acting provides both a nurturing and rigorous environment.

Acting for Film, Television, Voice-overs, and Commercials (FTVC) re-examines the training of the contemporary actor and media performer from top to bottom. It offers a fresh approach to acting as well as physical and vocal preparation. With studio classes, performance opportunities, and individual attention all in the heart of New York City, Pace Performing ArtsÂ鶹´«Ã½™ FTVC major readies the young actor for entry in to today's multi-faceted industry.

Studying commercial dance in the Pace School of Performing arts, youÂ鶹´«Ã½™ll be a part of one of the few dance programs in the country that truly opens doors to the industry. Student not only train in ballet, jazz, theater dance, hip hop, modern, tap, contemporary, aerial arts, and other dance styles, but also take acting, vocal music, other electives to broaden their experience and marketability as a dancer.

As one of the few undergraduate directing programs in the United States, the BA in Directing connects you with the industry like no other. Based in New York, with a semester abroad, directing students train with some of the best professionals in the creation of new work.

The BFA in Production and Design for Stage and Screen provides intensive pre-professional training for young designers and craftspeople looking to enter into the entertainment industryÂ鶹´«Ã½”and make an impact.

One of the few programs in the US designed exclusively to train you for stage and company management career, the BA in Stage Management at the Pace School of Performing Arts blends in-class instruction with practical experience and connections to professional opportunities in New York City.

The minor in Stage Management blends in-class instruction with practical experience in stage and company management. It provides an opportunity for students in all fields to broaden their skill set and connect with leading professionals in the field. The coursework includes practical stage management technique, and company and production management for theater and live events. Participation in a mainstage Sands production is the capstone experience of the minor. 

The minor in Theater for Social Justice offers an interdisciplinary course of study that centers on decolonizing and anti-racist pedagogy in the fields of commercial and devised theater and performance studies. Through this coursework, students will gain an understanding of theaterÂ鶹´«Ã½™s role in social and political movements, utilize contemporary methodologies in social theory to analyze literature and theatrical performances and develop historical knowledge and context for theaterÂ鶹´«Ã½™s role as a driver of social change.
