Student Experiences
During the International Finance Lubin Travel Course (FIN 360 / FIN 680V), undergraduate and graduate students traveled to Buenos Aires and Santiago in January 2019. The trip emphasized the differences between the Argentine and Chilean economic foci and development paths, and a great case study for students considering international careers that require decision-making and in-depth knowledge.
For the International Marketing Lubin Travel Course (MAR 356/MAR 680H), participants traveled to Brussels and London in January 2020. This course introduced undergraduate students to marketing activities in Europe and marketing activities of US firms in the EU.
For the International Management Lubin Travel Course (MGT 347) to Brazil in 2016, an interdisciplinary group of undergraduate Pace students travelled Rio De Janeiro and Paraty to learn about arts and entertainment management in Brazil, and to update the Paraty Green Map with sustainability as their focus.
The International Marketing Lubin Travel Course (MAR 356/MAR 680h) participants traveled to Copenhagen and Stockholm in 2023. Undergraduate and graduate students learned about sustainability initiatives, cultural values and norms, and business practices in Scandinavia.
Undergraduate and graduate students who participated in the International Marketing Lubin Travel Course (MAR 356G/MAR 680T) travelled in January 2020 to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to examine marketing as it applies to modern Singapore and Malaysia and to learn about how to do business in multi-ethnic societies.
Lubin graduate students, representing the fields of business administration, accounting, marketing, analytics, management and finance, participated in a one-week program at Pace-partner school Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Shillong, India. The theme of the week was "Sustainability Practices in Business and Sensitization for the Young Managers," and included 10 courses led by international faculty, as well as evening activities, a cultural excursion, and field trip.
The Lubin School provides global learning opportunities for all our students. Students have travelled to Argentina, Chile, China, Finland, Russia, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Tanzania, and Vietnam in past years.
Lubin majors broadened their horizons and learned about global business during their semesters abroad. They describe their experiences studying and living in Brazil, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.
