The Gosin Center facilitates the development of equitable literacy, inclusive curricula, and anti-oppression pedagogies, while also assisting academic units in their research on these vital topics. We provide spaces for collaborative inquiry, co-curricular engagement, and community partnerships, nurturing a culture of inclusivity and belonging. Peta-Gay Clarke is a prominent tech leader with over 15 years of experience, currently serving as the Global Lead for Community Programs at Google, where she advances diversity and representation in tech. She played a key role in founding Code Next, a Google initiative that supports Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students in tech, and also shares her expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Â鶹´«Ã½ while serving on its Board of Trustees.
Erik Cliette is a seasoned business executive known for his strategic vision and commitment to excellence. Currently serving as the Executive Director for One Hundred Black Men of New York, he oversees the organization's operations, focusing on education, economic empowerment, and health initiatives. With over two decades of experience, Erik has spearheaded impactful projects such as the Guns Down, Life Up violence prevention effort and Harlem Hospital's Injury prevention campaign. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is actively involved in mentorship programs, educational initiatives, and serves on several boards, showcasing his dedication to community development and entrepreneurship.
Terryl L. Brown serves as Vice President and General Counsel at Â鶹´«Ã½, overseeing legal matters and providing guidance on contracts, personnel issues, and compliance. With a background in government law, she previously held key roles in the Fire Department of New York City and the New York Power Authority. Brown holds degrees from Â鶹´«Ã½, the University of Pittsburgh, Villanova University, and the University of Pennsylvania, and is dedicated to public service alongside her passions for running, hiking, and triathlons.
Patricia Morrobel is the Program Manager for PaceÂ鶹´«Ã½™s Continuing Education Department. She oversees all of PaceÂ鶹´«Ã½™s non-credit courses and PaceÂ鶹´«Ã½™s Active Retirement Community (PARC) program. She is currently pursuing an MS Ed in Higher Education Administration.
Randolph M. McLaughlin, a faculty member at Haub Law since 1988, integrates his extensive legal experience into teaching civil rights, litigation, and labor law courses. With a background including representation in landmark civil rights cases, he brings real-world expertise to his classroom. Throughout his career, he has achieved significant victories, such as dismantling discriminatory voting systems and securing substantial compensatory damages for victims of civil rights violations.
Lori Kanner, currently serving as the Director of Community Relations and Special Programs at PaceÂ鶹´«Ã½™s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, has extensive experience in fundraising and community engagement. Previously, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney before transitioning to private practice, and she brings a wealth of leadership skills from her years of service on the Byram Hills Board of Education and other board positions.
Anthony Guerrero is a Senior at Â鶹´«Ã½'s Pleasantville campus, pursuing a BS in Business Economics. As a dedicated Peer Educator with the Office of Sexual and Interpersonal Wellness, the OrcaTV Ambassador, and a Peer Leader, Anthony is deeply involved in fostering a supportive campus environment. He is the founder of the DEI organization One Pace and holds leadership roles in several organizations, including Pride at Pace, the Black Student Union, and the Inter-Fraternity Council. Anthony is committed to empowering communities and creating initiatives that support individuals with intersectional identities.
Joana Velasquez, an Assistant Professor at Â鶹´«Ã½ Lienhard School of Nursing, brings 20 years of clinical practice and teaching experience with a focus on perioperative nursing. Her research interests center on nursing education, reflected in her presentations at national and international conferences. With a commitment to diversity and inclusion, she advocates for positive learning environments and believes in the importance of supporting students and faculty to foster inclusivity in higher education.
Vinny Caprio, a Marketing and Project Management Coordinator at Â鶹´«Ã½, graduated in 2022 with a degree in Arts and Entertainment Management and Special Events Marketing and is now pursuing a masterÂ鶹´«Ã½™s in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs. His commitment to student success began during his undergraduate years at Pace, where he worked as a Tour Guide and Enrollment Events Student Assistant, gaining valuable experience in student engagement and communication. In his current role, Vinny continues to contribute to the Pace community by collaborating across departments to enhance marketing efforts and manage projects aligned with the institution's objectives.
Chase Nelson is a senior at Â鶹´«Ã½, majoring in Applied Psychology and Human Relations. She emphasizes the significance of nurturing safe spaces on campus for POC students, LGBTQIA+ students, international students, and women. Chase aims to promote inclusivity across Â鶹´«Ã½ by integrating these communities into classrooms, school organizations, and daily campus life.
Chrismery Reynoso is entering her third year at Pace Law School, where she is dedicated to advancing her legal education with a focus on health law, particularly in compliance and regulations. Before embarking on her law school journey, she gained valuable experience working as a paralegal for three years at a medical billing company. Currently, she serves as the Vice President for the upcoming Black Law Student Association eboard, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and community engagement.
Instead of the usual focus on an individual leaderÂ鶹´«Ã½™s traits and behaviors, itÂ鶹´«Ã½™s all about teamwork and collective leadership. SEL is a shift from 'me' to 'us'! This approach isn't just talk. WeÂ鶹´«Ã½™re embedding equity and inclusivity into everything we do, from classrooms to community outreach. With students, faculty, staff, University leaders, and community partners working hand in hand, we're building a Pace Community where everyone feels valued and heard.

Dean and Henry R. Luce Professor of Journalism at Columbia Journalism School
He joined the faculty in 2016 as the inaugural director of the Lipman Center for Journalism and Civil and Human Rights, later ascending to the fourteenth Dean of the School. As a distinguished member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a board member for the American Journalism Project, Cobb has committed his tenure to expanding opportunities for journalism education and fostering greater accessibility to it. He received a Peabody Award for his 2020 PBS Frontline film Whose Vote Counts? and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Commentary in 2018. He has also been a political analyst for MSNBC since 2019.
The Gosin Network for students is a year-long program designed for students to engage their entrepreneurial skills and participate in a cohort that will grow together for career enhancement. Students earn up to $1000 each semester by attending Gosin selected events, meeting with executive coaches, and working to develop themselves professionally to be ready for life after graduation.
In alignment with our institution's commitment to fostering diversity within our faculty, advancing research in critical areas, and aiding junior faculty in their tenure and promotion journey, we are excited to introduce a collaborative initiative. Junior faculty members will join forces to co-author two scholarly works across two semesters. This fellowship program is designed to provide support and avenues for cultivating equity literacy, inclusive curricula, and anti-oppression pedagogies, with a focus on scholarship of teaching and learning, academic innovation, and intersectionality.

The Gosin Center is dedicated to fostering collaboration between graduate students and senior faculty to enrich graduate research and cultivate diverse scholarly pipelines. To support this mission, we're thrilled to offer mini grants to facilitate partnerships between faculty and graduate students, enabling them to collaborate on research projects, publish findings, and present their work.

Bringing together staff from across campuses and departments, STRIDE aims to address our most pressing equity challenges. Through collaboration and innovation within diverse cohorts, participants will work together to foster a more inclusive community at Pace.
The inaugural cohort of STRIDE plans to launch in Spring 2025.
