Teach English Domestically and Internationally
Want to go out and see the world? The MS in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) International is a 30-credit program that prepares teachers of English who want to work in international settings or with adult learners in the US. This non-certification program is also designed for international students who would like to study TESOL in New York.
With a focus on inclusive practices, fieldwork, and differentiated instruction, youÂ鶹´«Ã½™ll gain the skills to create engaging and inclusive environments to support English Language Learners (ELLs) of all ages. Our TESOL masterÂ鶹´«Ã½™s degree emphasizes the teaching of writing and the integration of technologyÂ鶹´«Ã½”key tools for todayÂ鶹´«Ã½™s globalized classrooms. Students have the flexibility to complete their practicum in New York City, Westchester, or even their country of origin. With strong partnerships with local school districts, many Pace students secure teaching positions before graduation, making our program a gateway to impactful careers in TESOL.
The MS in TESOL International can be combined with Â鶹´«Ã½Â鶹´«Ã½™s Global Pathways Program, which blends academic English development with graduate study. As one of the few education schools in the region offering faculty-led international courses, Pace provides immersive, hands-on learning experiences in countries like Italy and Ecuador, further broadening your global teaching perspective.
