A Global Studies Degree for TomorrowÂé¶¹´«Ã½™s Leaders

The Global Asia Studies program at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ offers a dynamic curriculum that blends history, politics, literature, and cultural studies to give students a deep understanding of AsiaÂé¶¹´«Ã½™s global influence. Courses like Japanese Manga and Anime and Non-violent Activism in Asia allow students to explore diverse perspectives, while film-centered classes provide a unique lens into social and political movements.

Expect hands-on experience through language instruction, independent research, and internships at New York CityÂé¶¹´«Ã½™s Asian cultural institutions, all of which enhance professional skills. Partnerships with PaceÂé¶¹´«Ã½™s history department and Global Asia Institute provide valuable resources and mentorship to support expertise.

Graduates are prepared for a variety of careers in international business, law, government, and cultural exchange, with many advancing to secure fellowships or pursue graduate studies in Asia.

Along with stimulating lectures and seminars, you will encounter small-group intensive language studies, supervised independent research assignments, as well as technology-based instructions.

The BA in Global Asia Studies advances a cross-cultural understanding of Asia and the world and prepares professionals for graduate school, careers in government and international organizations, or employment in a globalized economy. In addition, recent graduates have been awarded fellowships to pursue their graduate education in China, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Professor KolluriÂé¶¹´«Ã½™s research interests include philosophy of communication, digital and participatory cultures, Asian cinema, aesthetics and affect theory, parenting and education, media, satire, politics and civic engagement, and cultural studies.

Professor LeeÂé¶¹´«Ã½™s research interests include the intersection of faith and politics in China and US-China relations.

Professor Weinstock is an actively sought out expert providing commentary to various media outlets on subjects such as higher education and tariffs, inflation, and the US economy.
