Dr. Catherine Dwyer is a distinguished academic leader, scholar and teacher. In 2019 she was awarded the Kenan Award for Teaching Excellence by Â鶹´«Ã½.
Dr. Dwyer has a passion for developing interdisciplinary programs. She has worked with faculty in the Marketing Department to create a Masters Program on Social Media and Mobile Marketing for department chair. She also developed and co-teaches a course with a Film Studies colleague entitled "Computers and the Surveillance Society."

And, she says, Facebook certainly has a positive side, especially in this economy. "Facebook offers students a way to reconnect with their professors and classmates if they get laid off," she says.
