What is Convocation?

Convocation comes from the Latin for "calling together." At Pace, Convocation is the firstÂ鶹´«Ã½“time incoming students come together to meet the President, Provost, Dean for Students, and key student leaders. It is one of the most important traditions for our incoming students and sets the academic tone for their years to come.

• First Ceremony | 10:00 a.m.Â鶹´«Ã½“11:00 a.m.
  Ceremony for first-year students residing in 182 Broadway and all new transfer students.
  Location: One Pace Plaza, Gym (CÂ鶹´«Ã½“level, West)
• Second Ceremony | 11:30 a.m.Â鶹´«Ã½“12:30 p.m.
  Ceremony for all first-year students residing in 15 Beekman and all first-year commuter students.
  Location: One Pace Plaza, Gym (CÂ鶹´«Ã½“level, West)

• First-year students UNV 101 class | 1:15 p.m.Â鶹´«Ã½“3:15 p.m. Location will be announced prior to the event. Students can visit the library or Miller Hall to clarify room assignments the day of the event.
• New transfer students social | 2:30 p.m.Â鶹´«Ã½“3:15 p.m. Location: Setters Café, located outside of Conference Rooms A/B and C/D, Kessel Student Center
• First-year and new transfer students gather for the Convocation procession by School | 3:15 p.m. Location: Shirley Beth Way
• Convocation ceremony | 3:30 p.m.Â鶹´«Ã½“4:30 p.m. Location: Ann and Alfred Goldstein Health, Fitness, and Recreation Center

All Lubin School of Business first-year and transfer students are invited to an exclusive kick-off event in honor of your first semester at Pace. Please join us for a scavenger hunt across all of Wall Street, compete to win some fabulous prizes, and celebrate the start of your college years with your fellow business-minded go-getters! Bring your Lubin Buddy for an additional in-game advantage. . Space is limited!

Join us for an evening of celebration as we welcome the new first-year and transfer students to Â鶹´«Ã½! Connect with your fellow Pace students, faculty, and staff in a variety of activities and enjoy food and games as we kick-start the beginning of the 2024Â鶹´«Ã½“2025 academic year.
